Chlupp & Hall Group joined Team Baird for the Make-A-Wish Walk & Run for Wishes in Milwaukee on August 24th, 2013. The annual event benefits the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Wisconsin and the children with life-threatening medical conditions it serves across the state.

In 2012 the event raised nearly $200,000 and had over 2,700 participants. Baird has been a gold sponsor for 6 years in a row which allows all associates and their families to participate in the event. This year’s event was sentimental to Chris Chlupp whose daughter, Kennedy, who was diagnosed with a rare form of Leukemia two years ago. Kennedy continues to be in remission and enjoy good health. In December 2013, Make-A-Wish Foundation sponsored Kennedy’s wish for a trip to Walt Disney World!

Chris was honored by his invitation to join rotary from a business mentor and has always made the most of his involvement. Enchantment in the Park
As President-Elect for the West Bend Noon Rotary Club, Chris was actively involved in the creation of the spectacular holiday light display. Chris served as a steering committee member charged with fundraising and is now a board member involved with the Design Committee. Enchantment in the Park has been Chris’s opportunity to give back to a community that has been so good to his family. In the first 5 years of operation over 150,000 food items have been collected for all of the food pantries of Washington County and approximately 200,000 visitors have been able to enjoy this holiday experience.

West Bend Community Foundation
The West Bend Community Foundation is one of the largest “Community Foundations” in the United States. Chris grew up across the street from a very successful businessman that had a huge desire to give back to his community. That neighbor and another very well-known businessman in West Bend co-founded this Foundation in 1999. This foundation allows people with charitable intentions to control where their contributions are made while they are alive and then allow our highly regarded members of our board to direct their community donation funds after they have passed away. Chris was delighted to be asked to serve on this board in 2009. Soon after joining the board, Chris became the chair of the Development Committee and in 2013 he was asked to become Vice President of the organization.

Economic Development of Washington County
Economic Development has always been a passion of Chris’s. Chris was asked to be a Board Member of the EDWC in 2010. We owe much of the quality of life we have in this community to those entrepreneurs who took a chance to start a business and grow the local employment base. The primary mission of the EDWC is to help companies in Washington County to grow and thrive and continue to add to the local employment base.
